La cálida respuesta de profesora a alumna que faltó a clases por cuidar a su hija

Para muchas mujeres congeniar el cuidado de los hijos con la vida laboral o académica, puede implicar un verdadero desafío, sobre todo cuando el apoyo de terceros es escaso o surgen imprevistos de última hora.

Una realidad que al parecer una joven estadounidense entiende a la perfección. Su nombre es Morgan King, quien recientemente compartió a través de redes sociales una conmovedora historia.

Resulta que Morgan, de 21 años, es madre de un bebé y estudia Recreación Terapeútica en la Universidad de Tennessee, junto con trabajar en un restaurante por las noches. Aunque intenta ser responsable con todas sus labores, hace unas semanas no pudo asistir a una importante clase, debido a que no tenía con quien dejar a su hija.

Preocupada por su inasistencia, pues era una lección que incluía evaluación, King decidió enviar un mail a la profesora de la asignatura, la doctora Sally Hunter, para así excusarse, sin embargo, recibió una respuesta que jamás esperó.

Según consigna BioBioChile.cl, la respuesta de la profesora dejó tan sin palabras a la joven, que decidió compartirlo en Twitter, consiguiendo de inmediato la atención de miles de usuarios.

I am doing everything I possibly can to provide the best life possible for my precious angel and I, and I know that nothing is going to come easy. Someone told me the other day that statistics show that less than 2% of young moms get an education before the age of 30. I am so beyond determined to become a part of that 2% of women who succeed and provide a future full of hope and happiness for my child. In the past year since I got pregnant, I've learned that going to school and getting my degree isn't just about me anymore. It's about US now. I have to graduate and get a big girl job doing what I love for US so that I can support US and live happily ever after, just the two of US. I have to make her proud, and I won't stop doing everything I can in order to do so. So Korbyn, my sunshine, here's to you.. to us. The next year and a half is gonna be a roller coaster, but I'm ready to buckle up and brace myself through the bumps because I know it'll all be worth it in the end.
