“Es algo que siempre he querido hacer en mi vida. Estaba preparándome para un ironman, y me quedé embarazada de mi primera hija. Y así fue uno tras otro, además de mucha pega”, recordó entre risas junto a Página 7.

“Y ahora se me abrió esta ventana de tener tiempo para poder entrenar. Con el matinal (Buenos días a todos) era imposible, porque el cansancio físico que uno siente te dificulta los 42K o por lo menos eso sentía”, agregó.

Para realizar las exigentes pruebas, María Luisa se está asesorando de la mejor forma.

“Trabajo con Yutopia, que es un gimnasio. Ahí estoy con el entrenador Andrés, también tengo kinesiólogo, nutricionista. Es un equipo completo, porque hay que llegar muy bien preparado a los 42 para que el cuerpo rinda, no tengo 30 años, a eso súmale cinco partos. No es llegar y hacerlo”, indicó.

María Luisa Godoy detalla su nuevo proyecto

Este nuevo reto en la vida de la periodista la llevó a apostar por un proyecto fuera de la TV.

“Estoy haciendo un programa, una especia de docu de seis capítulos para YouTube (su canal), donde muestro mi preparación. También quiero destacar a distintas mujeres que representen este sacrificio y esfuerzo que uno hace corriendo esta maratón, pero en su día a día”, explicó.

La exanimadora del Festival de Viña del Mar contó que se encuentran en plenas grabaciones. El primer capítulo estará disponible en mayo, después de la maratón de Santiago, y se lanzará uno por mes, hasta los 42K de Viña del Mar en octubre.

“Muestra mi preparación para estas carreras, pero también el día a día de una mamá, las cosas que uno hace, mujeres que me gustaría destacar”, reiteró.

“Ponte tú, la otra vez estuvimos grabando con Pancho Saavedra, nos encontramos, nos reímos mucho”, añadió con humor.

“Y en unos días más voy a entrenar con un equipo de chiquillos con discapacidad que van a correr, con Síndrome de Down, me voy a juntar a entrenar con ellos”, concluyó.
