Jaime Vadell se refirió a la gran ovación que recibió la semana pasada al término de la obra Aquí me bajo yo, luego de que regresara a actuar a días de la muerte de su esposa, Susana Bomchil.
Recordemos que la actriz y escenógrafa perdió la vida tras estar durante años delicada de salud, hecho que tenía afectado al actor de icónicas teleseries como Amores de Mercado en TVN.
Sobre ello, el intérprete conversó con Publimetro, donde explicó por qué decidió volver a subirse al escenario pese al complejo momento que enfrentaba junto a su familia.
En ese sentido, Jaime Vadell expresó que “suspendí el viernes, al principio lo quería hacer. Pero (lo del sábado) fue así por razones de sobrevivencia”.
“Posiblemente, uno tiene que cumplir con la pega, porque si no lo echan, además”, reflexionó el actor, quien además valoró el gran aplauso que le dio el público al cierre de dicha función, cuyo momento capturó el periodista y conductor de Meganoticias, Rodrigo Sepúlveda.
“Fue maravilloso. Nunca pensé que se conectarían tanto. El aplauso final es lo más impresionante”, comentó.

La obra tiene un valor intrínseco para el intérprete, quien la define como una “mezcla de humor y drama. La gente se ríe con la misma intensidad con que llora”.
En la puesta en escena, Jaime Vadell trabaja junto a Rodrigo y Milena Bastidas, de quienes destacada que es “más fácil trabajar con un equipo tan cercano y con un texto tan bien escrito”, mientras que “lo más difícil es que cuando terminó la obra me siento cansado, sin embargo, igual me dan ganas de salir a tomarme un trago”.
Además, el actor hizo énfasis en la relevancia de la historia que aborda la obra de teatro que se exhibe en el Teatro Mori de Parque Arauco.
“Me parece muy importante porque todos van para allá. Porque todo el mundo tiene abuelos y tiene padres y tiene madres y tiene novias y tiene pololas y tiene viejos y viejas. Se empieza a cumplir un año y se ve que implacablemente va a llegar el momento de la vejez, y la vejez se ve como un fenómeno misterioso, en general”, comentó.
