Han pasado 14 años desde el final de Harry Potter en cines, pero la magia no se ha desvanecido.
Mientras HBO trabaja en una nueva serie basada en los libros originales, otra historia sigue viva en los escenarios de Broadway: Harry Potter y el legado maldito , la obra de teatro que imagina la vida de los protagonistas dos décadas después del cierre de la saga cinematográfica.
Ahora, por primera vez, uno de los actores originales vuelve a interpretar su icónico personaje… pero esta vez, como adulto y sobre las tablas.
Se trata de Tom Felton, quien dio vida a Draco Malfoy en las ocho películas de la saga.
Años después de despedirse del personaje, el actor británico, que cumplirá 38 años cuando empiece la obra, volverá a ponerse en la piel del rival de Harry Potter como parte del elenco de El legado maldito (The Cursed Child , en inglés), en su versión de Broadway.
Es oficial: Draco está de vuelta en Harry Potter … pero de Broadway Sonia Friedman y Colin Callender, productores de la obra, destacaron que Felton “dejó una impresión imborrable” con su interpretación de Draco: un personaje que comenzó como antagonista y fue ganando complejidad hasta mostrar su lado más humano.
“Le dio forma a uno de los personajes con más matices del universo de Harry Potter “, afirmaron.
Ahora, Draco Malfoy regresa. Y lo hace en carne y hueso, en uno de los escenarios más icónicos del mundo.
“Formar parte de las películas de Harry Potter ha sido uno de los mayores honores de mi vida. Unirme a esta producción supondrá cerrar el círculo, porque cuando empiece a actuar este otoño tendré la misma edad que Draco en la obra”, confesó el actor en un comunicado.

Cabe mencionar que la participación de Felton comenzará el 11 de noviembre de 2025 y se extenderá hasta el 22 de marzo de 2026. Será la primera vez que un actor del elenco original de Harry Potter se une al reparto de esta obra.
Tom también compartió un video en sus redes sociales donde se le ve preparándose para el rol: túnica oscura, anillos con piedras verdes, varita de madera… y una frase dirigida directamente a su viejo enemigo: “¿Tienes miedo, Potter?”.
¿De qué trata Harry Potter y el legado maldito ? La obra, escrita por Jack Thorne a partir de una historia de J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany y el propio Thorne, se centra en Albus Severus Potter , el hijo de Harry, quien es asignado a la casa Slytherin y forma una inesperada amistad con Scorpius Malfoy, el hijo de Draco .
Juntos, se embarcan en un viaje a través del tiempo que pondrá a prueba sus lazos familiares y el legado de sus padres.
